The following message is from the National District Attorneys Association:

The Higher Education Act reauthorization bill, which includes the John R. Justice Prosecutors and Defenders Incentive Act, was passed by both the House and the Senate.  The Senate had previously passed their version of the bill (S.1642) and the House then passed their version (H.R. 4137) on February 7.  It will now be scheduled for conference committee of Senate and House members who will work to reconcile differences between the House-passed and Senate-passed bills.  After these bills are reconciled, the final bill will be sent to the President for his signature.
