The Texas Supreme Court has jurisdiction to hear the State's challenge to a juvenile suppression hearing. The Supreme Court has jurisdiction to hear cases where the court of appeals has held differently from a prior decision of another court of appeals on an issue that should be clarified to remove uncertainty or unfairness. Here, the court of appeals held differently than other courts of appeals and the Court of Criminal Appeals in suppressing a murder weapon for a Miranda violation, so the Supreme Court had jurisdiction.
