Woman sentenced attempted capital murder of police officer

A
local woman was sentenced to two concurrent life sentences for her role
in an attempted capital murder of a peace officer and aggravated
robbery.
Tamina Hamid, the defendent in the case, also was sentenced to a maximum fine of $10,000 for each crime.
Hamid and Joseph Flores, accomplices in the 2006 incident, led police in a high speed police chase on June 2, 2006 in a Toyota SUV later discovered to be stolen out of Houston.
During the chase, Hamid waved a firearm at a pursuing officer from Meadows Place, Kelly Davis.
