Advanced Trial Advocacy Course

Monday, July 31, 2017 to Friday, August 4, 2017

TDCAA’s Advanced Trial Advocacy Course is designed for prosecutors with at least three to five years of trial experience who want to prepare and participate in a hands-on course to increase their effectiveness in trial. Upon acceptance, all participants will receive a detailed packet of instructions and a felony case scenario that will form the basis of the presentations, faculty demonstrations, workshops, and courtroom performances. This year, participants will focus on a child homicide case to learn how to address many of the challenges stemming from these types of cases.

If you are interested in attendance, applications can be found on the brochure linked below. Due to the rigorous nature of the course and limited number of available seats, all applications must include a nomination from your boss, the Elected Prosecutor. Ultimately, course acceptance is based on individual experience, geography, office size, and need.

You’ll never know if you don’t apply.
