The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office is currently seeking applicants for an Assistant District Attorney position in our Appellate Division.
Salary: $85,000-$140,000 depending on experience
The Brazos County District Attorney’s office has jurisdiction over felony, juvenile and CPS cases in Brazos County. The Appellate Division represents the State in post-conviction proceedings for felony and juvenile prosecutions, primarily involving direct appeals and postconviction writs of habeas corpus. Appellate prosecutors also provide trial prosecutors trial assistance to the trial courts. Applicants should have strong oral and written advocacy skills.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Prior experience in criminal prosecution is preferred but not necessary.
