Assistant District Attorney – Civil Position

Salary Range:

$50,000.00 – $75,000.00 Annually

Summary:

The Fannin County Criminal District Attorney’s Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant District Attorney to represent our Civil Division.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages asset forfeiture case-load

Manages bail forfeiture case-load

Responds to open records requests

Consults with witnesses on issues related to litigation

Prepares witnesses for deposition and trial testimony

Participates in pre-trial hearings and tries cases as lead counsel in civil matters

Researches statutory and case law

Prepares, reviews and approves legal documents

Performs related duties as required

Prepare civil cases for trial

Represent The State of Texas in all civil matters handled by the DA’s Office

Qualification Requirements:

Applicant must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, must currently be licensed to practice law in The State of Texas, and must be in good standing with The State Bar of Texas. Applicant must also have a clean criminal history and be able to pass a drug test.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for an Assistant District Attorney – Civil Attorney is up to $75,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful applicant will also receive a full benefits package from Fannin County. This includes paid holidays off, personal time off, and other benefits in addition to health, life, dental, and vision insurance.
