Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney’s Office has an opening for a misdemeanor prosecutor. Misdemeanor prosecutors are expected to evaluate facts in misdemeanor cases, make charging decisions, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, make plea offers and try cases to juries. Misdemeanor prosecutors will share a caseload in an assigned misdemeanor court with another misdemeanor prosecutor. Misdemeanor prosecutors are also given the opportunity on occasion to try felony cases. Our office is a friendly team-oriented office. We are looking for a prosecutor who wants to be part of our team.
Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
Starting annual salary range, depending on qualifications & experience, is from $78,024.00 – $87,817.00.
Our office pays bar dues and the cost of approved continuing legal education.
