Online Training FAQs
What is the cost of a course?
The link for each course will show the cost and the applicable number of MCLE hours.
If a course has multiple segments, can I pay less to only watch one talk?
No. Partial credit is not available for online courses. You must complete the entire course to claim the associated MCLE credit.
How do I register for training?
Registration for an online course is the same as registration for our traditional, live training events. Under the “Online Training” tab, click on your desired course and then click “Register”. From there, enter your preferred email address and follow the directions on the screen. You will then receive an email with further instructions.
How do I access the training?
Once you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation by email. Once the conference is available for viewing, you will receive a second email with a link and password. The link will take you to our Learning Management System portal and the password will give you access to all of the course content. The password link allows for initial access only. To re-access a course at a later time, you must log in to your Litmos account at https://tdcaa.litmos.com/account/Login
Do I have to watch the entire training at once?
No. You may watch modules at your leisure, however, no MCLE will be reported until all the modules in a course are completed. Most courses have a specified time limit from the date of registration in which to complete the course – sometimes as short as 30 days, and all courses have an expiration date. Be aware of these dates.
Will TCOLE credit be offered for online training?
Unless a course posting specifically indicates that TCOLE credit is available, there will not be TCOLE credit offered for the course. Efforts are underway to potentially provide TCOLE opportunities in the future. Keep an eye on our website for details.
Can I watch a course with other attorneys from my office?
Generally, MCLE credit is only available for the person that has registered for a course and is logged in while the course is watched. If you are with a prosecutor’s office and want to view an online training in a group setting, contact Gregg Cox at [email protected] for forms and instructions.
Do I have to be a prosecutor to watch this training?
No, like with most TDCAA training, most courses are available to anyone who registers for the event.
When will my hours be reported?
Once you have completed a course, your hours will be reported by TDCAA the following week.
Can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?
Can I transfer my registration to someone else if I no longer wish to watch the training?
Yes, but that must happen before the course is active. Once an online course is accessible, we cannot process transfers.
