Corpus Christi, Texas, June 17, 2019– The Texas Gang Investigators Association (TGIA) has served Texas since 1991. TGIA is a not-for-profit volunteer organization made up of law enforcement, corrections, probation, parole and prosecution professionals who focus on gang related crimes such as human trafficking and drug-related or violent crimes. The Texas Gang Investigators Association was formed to promote a closer working relationship among gang investigators across Texas and the nation. TGIA recognizes a prosecutor each year for his or her outstanding contributions in the battle against gangs and organized crime.
The 2019 T.G.I.A. Prosecutor of the year is Chief Prosecutor Caroline Dozier of the Harris County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Houston, Texas. The award is in recognition of outstanding achievement in gang suppression in the State of Texas.

This award was presented at the 28th Annual Conference. TGIA has more than 1500 members from across Texas and the nation and has been in existence since 1991.
