Grievances and Prosecutorial Ethics – 2024-2025

TDCAA is pleased to offer this paid member-exclusive course worth 2.75 hours of MCLE-Ethics from the State Bar of Texas. This course is divided into three presentations. In the first, author and former prosecutor Scott Durfee walkthrough what to do if you receive notice of a grievance filed against you with the State Bar. In his second presentation, Mr. Durfee discusses the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, giving strong emphasis to the rules specific to prosecutors. In the third presentation, C. Scott Brumley, County Attorney in Potter County, discusses the recent rule changes that took place as part of the State Bar Rules Vote in April 2024. Mr. Brumley explains the new changes to the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure and the effect these rules may have on prosecutors across the state. Every attorney completing this online course will receive 2.75 hours of MCLE – Ethics from the State Bar of Texas.

This course will release September 4, 2024 and remain active until August 15, 2025.
