Legislative Update – San Antonio

Pre-registration for this course is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome.

What laws were passed during the 88th Regular Session? And what does that mean for how you investigate and prosecute crimes? Find out answers to these questions and many more with our live 2023 Legislative Update in San Antonio. All attendees will receive a copy of the 2023–25 Legislative Update book with a Penal Code table of offenses and a list of new crimes.

This Legislative Update session is from 1:30 to 5 p.m. and is worth 3 hours CLE credit. The cost is $100 for paid TDCAA members (this means you have paid your membership dues for the year) who pre-register online (up until a week before the training) and $150 for all others, including paid TDCAA members who register on-site.

NOTE FOR ATTENDEES: The Central Jury Room is located in the basement of Bexar County’s Cadena-Reeves Justice Center, across the hall from the cafeteria. You may enter the building through the Justice Center on Dolorosa or the Paul Elizondo Tower on Nueva St. (closest to the parking garage). Both entrances are ADA accessible. Parking is located on Flores St and Nueva, Bexar County Courage and is $5.00.

Pre-registration for the 2023 Legislative Update is online only. Online registration will be closed after pre-registration meets the maximum number of seats. Walk-ins may not be accepted, so don’t delay in signing up. A working email address is mandatory for confirmation of your registration and as a means of contacting you. We will not share email addresses or use them for any nefarious purpose.

We anticipate offering TCOLE credit for this course. Once a Course Reporting Number is generated, we will update this page with that information.

It is also time to order your copies of the 2023–25 Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and Annotated Criminal Laws of Texas, the only criminal code books you’ll need! Pre-ordering for these new editions is now online—click here to place your order.
