This 2.25-hour course consists of a panel discussion that addresses how a community can use the sequential intercept model (SIM) to reduce the number of mentally ill individuals who end up in the criminal justice system. The panel discussion covers the six intercept points of SIM and includes detailed information about how SIM can be deployed in your community and how prosecutors and the courts can interact with these efforts. This course is available free of charge. This course will be available September 4, 2024 to August 15, 2025.
This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 2.25 credit hours, of which 0 credit hours will apply to legal ethics/professional responsibility credit.
